|Welcome to Alphaville, formerly Albuquerque's best source for fine
and gay & lesbian films.
After more than 12 years of service to the community, ALPHAVILLE VIDEO lost its lease and was forced to close its doors in the early spring of 2007.
However, at that time, most of Alphaville's incomparable collection was transferred to the Fine Arts Library at UNM, and is now available for check out to the general public (with the use of a "Special Borrower's Card" - please contact the University for more information).
In addition, many of our rare films as well as our more experimental works are now housed in UNM's Media Arts, and are available to UNM film students for in-house viewing only. We are very grateful that our collection will be used to further film education for the next generation!
Although Alphaville Video no longer exists as a gathering place for Albuquerque's community of film lovers, we have decided to maintain our website with our Spotlight (featuring articles on various genres, directors, and themes in film).
We want to thank all of our devoted customers for their support over the years, and encourage them to continue to support local business and most of all, to enjoy film, forever!
THANK YOU, ALBUQUERQUE,
