Jeanne Moreau

Still popular (at the age of 70!) for cameo roles in films such as Map of the Human Heart (1993), Moreau is perhaps one of France's most highly respected actresses, specializing in the portrayal of the sophisticated and world weary seductress, in films such as Louis Malle's Elevator to the Gallows (1957), and Francois Truffaut's Jules & Jim (1962). She also worked with the great Orson Welles on a number of films, including The Trial (1962) and Chimes at Midnight (1967).
